In Deed and Truth Ministries was founded in 2007 by missionaries Sabet and Suzy Kuj serving in Tonj, South Sudan  They began their missionary work in Tonj under Safe Harbor Int'l Relief during the famine of 1998, when more than one million people throughout Sudan suffered the effects of starvation caused by 20 years of civil war.  Hundreds of thousands of them perished in the southern region alone.

Sabet and Suzy married in 2000 and despite war, disease and famine, this couple has devoted their lives to serving their brothers and sisters in Sudan along with their 3 young children Hannah, Jedidiah, and Agum. Their desire is to live among the people of Sudan as a family so they can minister to the spiritual needs of the community and bring awareness and healing to the physical daily suffering.

Sabet is native to Sudan and speaks four languages. His desire is to preach the Word of God to his own people. He not only oversees the entire ministry but works with over 100 local pastors in training and discipleship programs.

Suzy wanted to be used by God not only to make an eternal difference in Sudan but to meet some of the immediate physical needs. She home-schools their children, oversees the primary health care center they started in 2006 and logistically organizes teams, visiting missionaries, and churches to support them in their work.
